HereSign processes personal information only as needed to analyze restaurant signs and menus and provide personalized guidance.
1. Items and Methods of Personal Information Collection
The app and website may process the following information to provide the service.
Items collected: Account information (email, display name, user ID), language and profile settings (nationality, allergens, spice tolerance, dietary restrictions), sign/menu images captured or selected by the user, location and location accuracy for sign scans when permission is granted, analysis results, view history, saved results, reports/feedback, errors, performance data, basic usage events, screen navigation, taps, other usability analytics data, website page paths, device/browser and referral information, language-switch events, and app-store link clicks
Collection method: Provided by the user or generated when the user grants permission during service use
2. Purpose of Personal Information Use
Processed information is used for the following purposes.
- Image and location analysis: To analyze sign/menu images and location context captured by the user and provide restaurant and menu information
- Personalized service: To provide profile-based reference information, manage view history and saved results, handle reports, prevent misuse, and improve app quality
3. External Services and Data Processing
HereSign uses the following external services for core functionality, reliability, and usability improvement. We do not provide user data for third-party advertising tracking or data broker sales.

4. Retention and Destruction of Information
The current app does not store original scan images as files in view history or saved results. Compressed thumbnails and preview images used to display history and reopen results may be retained with view history or saved results and are deleted when the related record or account is deleted. Analysis results, view history, saved results, profiles, reports/feedback, and diagnostic logs may be retained as needed for service operation, security, quality improvement, and support.
Users can request account and related data deletion through the in-app account deletion feature or by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
5. User Rights
Users can revoke camera, photo, and location permissions at any time in device settings. Location is processed only during a sign scan after permission is granted; sign scanning is limited without that permission. HereSign does not use background location tracking.
Note: Allergy, ingredient, spice, and dietary information is for reference only. Please confirm ingredients, cooking methods, cross-contact, and changes directly with the restaurant before ordering.
